A bridle is your communication line with your horse. The right headpiece, bit, and noseband fit comfortably and let your aids be clear and kind. A badly fitted bridle causes pain, head-shaking, and resistance.

What to Look For

• Headpiece: sits behind the ears without pinching, browband not too tight
• Bit: the mildest that works for your horse — width and material matter
• Noseband: correctly positioned, never cranked tight
• Leather quality: supple, well-stitched, and regularly cleaned

Our Advice
