Grooming is more than making your horse look good — it’s the best daily health check you’ll ever do. A proper grooming session lets you feel for heat, swelling, and injuries before they become problems.
What to Look For
- Curry comb: rubber or plastic, for lifting dirt and stimulating the skin
- Dandy brush: stiff bristles for removing mud and dust
- Body brush: soft bristles for the final polish and sensitive areas
- Hoof pick: with a comfortable grip — check feet every single day
- Mane and tail care: detangler, wide-tooth comb, and patience
Our Advice
Groom in a pattern — start at the neck, work back, and always finish with the feet. It becomes second nature, and you’ll notice the day something feels different.
